I am Cory Skurdal. I am from Williston, North Dakota, a small town in a rural state where, as a young gay person growing up in the 1970s, I learned how to protect myself, conceal myself, and not live truthfully.
I graduated from the University of North Dakota, and the University of Washington (Seattle) and moved to Columbus, Ohio, where I worked in higher education and in the not-for-profit sector. I came out at the late age of 27, met my partner, and finally began to live a full and truthful life.
I began writing.
.I've served Board of Directors for Evolution Theatre Company and is also active in the Human Rights Campaign, Equality Ohio, and Stonewall Columbus.
Cory has written three full-length plays, and four short plays.
